‘ I think of abstract painting as beyond words, a bit like a sensation that can’t be adequately described. More poetry than prose, more jazz than folk.

We can impose our understanding on an abstract painting but that may change with time and experience. It captures a fragment of life, a burst of energy, a meditation, a crucible that brings together some harmony in difference. ’
